Elisha’s Here to Help HWTC Navigate What’s Next

We’re excited to introduce Elisha Muskat, who joins HWTC as Transitional Executive Director. She’ll be working closely with the HWTC Board to make sure HWTC stays strong and keeps delivering for the people and employers we serve.

Elisha brings 20 years of experience leading non-profits that serve people facing barriers. She’s been in the thick of it, managing operations, finances, and people through periods of significant change. She’s led teams, managed finances, and built cultures where staff feel supported and participants feel heard. Elisha now brings this expertise to HWTC as it continues to evolve around our core purpose.

HWTC delivers high‑quality training programs that help hospitality employers find the skilled workers they need, while preparing jobseekers for stable, fulfilling careers in the sector. Our flagship programs include job‑readiness training, sector‑specific micro‑credentials, and BEACON, our leadership development program for racialized women in entry‑level hospitality roles. We continue to expand our work in the cradle‑to‑career strategy, which turns seasonal work experience into long‑term career pathways for young people in Scarborough.

We are proud to add to our suite of programs the Service Workers’ POWER Centre. This new hub helps service‑sector workers facing layoffs navigate career transitions with confidence. As with all of HWTC’s work, the POWER Centre supports workers while connecting hiring employers with job‑ready talent.

With Elisha joining our team, HWTC is even better positioned to innovate, adapt, and lead with a clear strategic vision. Her expertise will help us evolve the organization in step with the changing needs of employers, workers, and partners. In short, building on HWTC’s strong foundation and driving our next exciting chapter.
