Youth Advisory Committee

Calling all youths ages 15 – 29!

We are creating a Youth Advisory Committee to better understand and help young people looking for employment in Toronto.

We want to hear from people working or looking for work in hospitality or workforce development.

Our goal is to get your input and use it to improve our services for young job seekers.

Who should join?

The expectation and commitment for an individual youth who is interested in joining the advisory committee are:

  • You must be between 15 – 29 years old.
  • Possess a strong desire to engage in conversations regarding today’s youth
  • Able to offer their experience and knowledge from the workforce or as a job seeker.

The Committee

  • Will meet twice per year (once in-person and once online) to exchange ideas and discuss practical strategies to enhance our youth service
  • HWTC is asking for a two-year commitment from volunteers

What are the benefits of being a Youth Advisor?

  • Be a contributing voice for other young people
  • Expand your volunteer experience, network and résumé for future opportunities
  • Establish effective advocacy skills

A small honorarium will be provided to committee meeting attendees.
